About The Position

PSEG is seeking an IT Intern for the Cyber Security Risk & Compliance team, focusing on governance, risk, compliance, and awareness. The intern will work as an analyst, conducting compliance controls spot checks, developing cyber awareness communications, and utilizing vulnerability management tools to mitigate risks. This hybrid position requires commuting to the General Office in Newark for special occasions and offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in a Fortune 500 company while contributing to a positive cyber safe culture.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science/Engineering, or a similar area of study.
• Graduating between December 2025 and May 2028.
• Completion of freshman level coursework.

Responsibilities

• Review cybersecurity controls effectiveness and assess compliance with policy and regulatory needs.
• Utilize and improve the vulnerability management program.
• Develop cybersecurity awareness communications.
• Assist in projects and initiatives to maintain a positive cyber safe culture.
• Research and track cybersecurity developments and threats.
• Engage in team meetings and record key takeaways.
• Advance in Microsoft Office skills (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
