About The Position

PSEG is seeking an IT Intern for the Centralized Field Service Platform (CFSP) Team. This internship will provide hands-on experience in operational technology, focusing on big data platform management, field device interface management, server and system administration, user administration, and enhancing cybersecurity for critical infrastructure. The role is hybrid, allowing for a blend of onsite and remote work, and is targeted at students pursuing degrees in relevant fields.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Graduating between December 2025 and May 2028
• Completed sophomore level coursework
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record

Nice To Haves

• 3.0 GPA or higher
• Knowledge in Python and PowerShell scripting
• Familiarity with Power BI and SQL
• Understanding of network infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Assist in Big Data Platform Management for the utility's operational data
• Manage field device interfaces
• Perform server and system administration tasks
• Handle user administration
• Enhance cybersecurity for the utility's critical infrastructure
• Document, improve, and automate standard procedures
