5000 Assistant / Associate Business Professor

About the position

The Assistant/Associate Business Professor is a full-time/exempt/salary position with benefits such as medical, dental, retirement match, PTO, and tuition remission. The primary responsibility is teaching courses in Accounting, Marketing, or Management on the Corban University Campus and graduate business courses online. Course scheduling will be established with the Dean of the Hoff School of Business. The successful candidate will be able to champion the Undergraduate Business program, the Online Graduate Business courses, and advise students. The successful candidate must teach the subject matter in a manner that is consistent with the university's Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Teach at least 24 credits of courses in Accounting, Marketing or Management.
• Teach the subject matter in a manner that is consistent with the university's Statement of Faith with particular attention to the statement on creation.
• Be committed to the integration of biblical principles within the discipline of Business.
• Invest in the development of undergraduate and graduate students.
• Be active in academic advising, curriculum and program development, and university and departmental committee work.
• Be an active scholar/professional, excellent teacher, and active in service to the university and the community.
• Model the integration of faith and learning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Doctorate in the area of business or related field is preferred.
• Significant experience in a field related to business is required.
• College teaching experience is preferred.
• Strong teaching and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated record of active participation in professional organizations.
• Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and evidence of a mature Christian faith.
• Agreement with the University's statement of faith.
• Commitment to the integration of biblical principles within the discipline of business.
• Willingness to invest in the development of undergraduate and graduate students.
• Collaboration and teamwork values.
