About The Position
Hudson Valley Audiology Center is searching for an enthusiastic Extern to join our Pomona and Goshen, NY team! Hudson Valley Audiology expects the extern to learn these skills during their clinical externship: Hearing aid selection and programming, Bone Anchored Hearing Aid (BAHA) candidacy evaluation and programming, Cochlear implant candidacy evaluation and programming, Administration and interpretation of speech in noise testing, Hearing aid fitting verification through probe microphone and test box measurement, Tinnitus evaluation and management, Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) evaluations, Vestibular evaluation and recommendations, Auditory processing evaluation and recommendations, Educational audiology services/CPSE contract. The extern will also learn about marketing and grassroots efforts, be mentored on metrics that drive the practice and lead to a better patient experience, and receive focused training and mentoring in patient-facing effectiveness.
