About The Position

Notre Dame School of Milwaukee (NDSM) is a Catholic School founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Milwaukee, WI in 1996. Initially established as an all-girls 5th-8th grade middle school for Latinas, it has since expanded to a K3-8 Catholic school sponsored by the School Sisters of Notre Dame. NDSM offers a co-education primary school utilizing a Spanish and English dual language model, alongside an all-boys and all-girls middle school, and an Early Childhood Education program. The school currently serves over 690 students across three campuses, providing student-focused education to address critical community needs. Its mission is to empower students to reach their full potential and use their God-given gifts to transform their community.

  • Current teaching license or pathway to obtain license

  • Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
  • Must have knowledge and experience with cultural sensitivity and awareness
  • Ability to be flexible, resilient, and adaptable to changing priorities, with a willingness to put students first at all times

  • Organizes and prepares resources for students
  • Teaches assigned subjects
  • Leads daily prayer and participates in school liturgies
  • Assists students as needed
  • Supervises areas as assigned
  • Communicates professionally and in a timely manner with parents
  • Plans all-school liturgies as requested
  • Plans instruction carefully and implements effectively
  • Evaluates and grades students’ work
  • Cooperate with the principal and staff in the planning and development of curriculum
  • Performs duties as requested by the principal
  • Incorporates technology to create a 21st century learning environment within the classroom
  • Maintains grades and prepares grade reports
  • Records daily attendance of students
  • Completes all required forms and reports
  • Attends all faculty and in-service meetings, and other meetings as needed
  • Actively engages in professional development
  • Participates and meets the requirements of Sustaining the Mission and maintains the appropriate level of certification
  • Meet professional teacher education requirements of school district and state
  • Performs other duties as assigned
