Academies of Math and Science 4th Grade Teacher – ASM Camelback Location: 6633 W Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ Start Date: July 20, 2026 Compensation: $48,331.25 – $54,571.89 annually DOE Position Overview Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of high-performing K–8 public charter schools dedicated to academic excellence and closing the achievement gap. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 4th Grade Teacher to join our team and deliver high-quality instruction that prepares students for long-term success.

Requirements

  • Valid teaching certification in Elementary Education or a related subject area, OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (e.g., Elementary Education or similar field), OR Minimum of three (3) years of K–8 teaching experience
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
  • Show commitment to serving Title I and multilingual learner communities
  • Possess strong organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrate collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environment
  • Pass required background checks and obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in core subjects (ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies)
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students
  • Use data-driven practices to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Establish and maintain a structured, positive classroom environment
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student performance and progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues, instructional coaches, and school leadership
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment
  • Implement PBIS and preventative intervention strategies to support student behavior and engagement
  • Build strong relationships with students to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
  • Promote student accountability, collaboration, and a growth mindset
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student academic progress and classroom updates
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school-wide events
  • Foster strong partnerships with families to support student success
