About The Position

A 4th-grade science and social studies teacher typically develop and delivers engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards, assesses student learning, fosters a positive classroom environment, and collaborates with school staff to support student success. They also communicate with parents, integrate technology, and may participate in professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (required).
• Valid state teaching certification for the grade level, possibly with endorsements.
• Classroom experience is often preferred.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of current teaching methods and how to adapt instruction.
• Accountability for student achievement.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Positive attitude and dedication to the school's mission.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach engaging science and social studies lessons, incorporating diverse learning styles and incorporating relevant technologies.
• Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
• Work with other teachers, special educators, and school staff to support student needs and implement school-wide initiatives.
• Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and academic performance.
• Stay current with advancements in teaching methodologies and integrate new knowledge into their practice.
