About The Position

Cross Country Education is looking for a proactive 4th Grade ELA Teacher to join a goal-oriented team to help make literature come alive and demonstrate a commitment to academic equity by stepping into a purpose-driven classroom designed to foster critical thinking and a love for learning for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year! Position Overview: Deliver engaging, standards-based English Language Arts (ELA) lessons to 4th-grade students, focusing on reading comprehension, writing proficiency, and foundational literacy skills. Manage daily classroom operations and monitor student progress through regular assessments to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs. Lead reading interventions and small-group rotations to address specific literacy gaps and challenge advanced readers. Work alongside instructional coaches and grade-level peers to analyze student work and refine lesson plans based on real-time data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid Tennessee Teaching Credential (Multiple Subject or Single Subject) OR Valid Teaching License and Endorsement from a state that offers reciprocity with Tennessee
- Prior experience delivering elementary ELA curriculum and a deep understanding of upper-elementary literacy development
