About The Position

The Caseworker for Eligibility focuses on providing eligibility determinations for all Bristol Bay residents applying under the Workforce Development (WFD) program. This role includes helping clients access all services allowable under Federal and State regulations that support finding employment and becoming self-sufficient.

Requirements

• Current valid Alaska Driver's License and liability insurance.
• Background clearance check including fingerprints.
• Computer skills including keyboard proficiency, MS programs, and email/internet.
• Ability to learn data entry program for case management.

Nice To Haves

• High School Graduate for Caseworker I.
• AA Degree or 2 years progressive experience for Caseworker II.
• AA or specialized certificate or training with at least a year of casework experience for Caseworker III.
• BA or 4 years progressive experience in the field and leadership experience for Caseworker IV.

Responsibilities

• Provide eligibility determinations for Bristol Bay residents under the WFD program.
• Assist clients in accessing services that support employment and self-sufficiency.
• Achieve program goals and objectives.
• Protect program integrity and client privacy.
• Contribute to the overall team effort.
• Keep management informed.
• Travel in and out of the region.
• Monitor and improve program and service quality.
