About The Position

Working Conditions: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment; hot when weather is hot and cold when weather is cold. Greasy, dirty and noisy environment. Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Standing and walking considerable distances. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. 1. Qualifications: 1.1. A High School diploma or equivalent of one year of experience with 45 Ton Overhead Crane. 1.2. Basic English reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. 1.3. Manual dexterity required for operating, machinery, hand tools and hand held technical devices. 1.4. Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and Overhead Crane operation. 1.5. Employee must be able to work with a flexible schedule which may require over-time and weekends when needed. 2. Responsibilities: 2.1. Inspect cables or grappling devices for wear and tear. 2.2. Perform a visual inspection before the beginning of the shift and report any issues to management. 2.3. Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload. 2.4. Clean and maintain mechanisms such as cables, pulleys, or grappling devices, reporting repairs as necessary. 2.5. Review daily work or delivery schedules to determine orders, sequences of deliveries, or special loading instructions. 2.6. Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules. 3. Activities: 3.1. Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. 3.2. Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems. 3.3. Complete electronic crane inspection check lists. 3.4. This position may require operating a Forklift. 3.5. Ensure coils are stored according to Borusan Mannesmann Pipe US policies and procedures. 3.6. Maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and keep it free and clear of debris. 3.7. Other duties as assigned. Department Yard Revision No. 1 Reports to Department Supervisor Revision Date 9/30/2019 4. Authority and Obligation: 4.1. This position has the authority to stop 45 ton Crane operation in the Coil Bay at any time that is deemed necessary for reasons of safety or quality.

Requirements
