About The Position

Under the direction of the 4K Manager, the 4K Substitute Teacher is responsible for carrying out the classroom teacher’s lesson plans while maintaining classroom management set forth by the West Bend School District and the Kettle Moraine YMCA.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• Teaching license or Substitute teaching license.
• Current CPR/AED certification preferred; required within 30 days of hire.
• Must complete and pass fingerprint check.
• Must complete a Health Physical and TB test within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to appropriately interact with children at their cognitive level.

Responsibilities

• Follows the DCF (Department of Children and Families) 251 Licensing Rules for Group Child Care Centers.
• Abides policies set forth by the Kettle Moraine YMCA and the West Bend School District.
• Works cooperatively with Co-Teachers and Teacher Assistants to problem solve issues, concerns, incidents, follow IEPs and report any issues to the 4K Manager.
• Communicates positively with children, their families, and co-instructors.
• Collaborates with West Bend School District special education teachers and other YMCA partners.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
