About The Position

Benewah County - Teaching, leading, and facilitating youth development curriculum in STEAM based out-of-school time programs; Facilitating family engagement events; Serving as mentors and role models, teaching important life skills, and giving youth positive opportunities to explore the world around them in a fun, engaging, noon-formal learning environment; Engaging new volunteers in their local programs to serve as 4-H leaders and event volunteers. Idaho 4-H AmeriCorps members will also submit regular progress reports and evaluate programs according to instructions, participate in required community service-learning projects and trainings and provide support and development of community partnerships. Responsibilities

  • Assists the Extension educator and office staff in organizing 4-H programs and events
  • Works county staff and afterschool program coordinator to conduct S.T.E.A.M. 4-H educational programming
  • Prepares 4-H participants
  • Communicate with staff and clientele about 4-H youth programs, fundraising events, and activities
  • Arranges and participates in meetings and workshops
  • Participates as a camp counselor
  • Performs time management and scheduling functions, meets deadlines, and sets project priorities.
