About The Position

The Wash Operator will prepare and wash various parts in a chemical wash solution to remove contaminates and apply a rust preventative. This is a critical step in our process to providing the highest quality products to our customer.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
• Manufacturing experience is a plus
• Continuous process experience in a non-stop environment is a plus
• Ability to read and comprehend simple and complex instructions, follow written and verbal directions
• Ability to be objective and flexible in adapting to changes in priorities, work assignments and other interactions that may impact pre-established courses of action for completing projects and assignments
• Ability to professionally communicate and work with others
• Possess basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Unbox, unpack parts received from vendors and or from internal sources
• Identify parts and compare to work orders
• Determine proper basket(s) to use and proper placement of parts in basket to prevent damage to parts
• Transfer parts per work orders to plastic trays, buckets, metal trays or plastic bags for transport to various operations (Grind, honing, Hardbore, Assembly) within the production floor
• Performs preventative maintenance as needed on assigned equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned
