About The Position

The 3rd shift Utility Person is responsible for completing all assignments as delegated under the direction of the Supervisor or Leadperson. This role involves instructing and training employees in their work area, immediately informing the Department Supervisor of any problems that may arise, and performing industrial painting. The Utility Person assists in controlling the quantity and timeliness of work performed by their group and completes all necessary paperwork within their area of responsibility. They are also responsible for reporting any mechanical, electrical, or safety problems to the Department Supervisor or Leadperson immediately. The position requires physically lifting up to 100 pounds and adhering to all common safety practices and procedures, including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing as required. Additionally, the Utility Person must maintain a clean work area in accordance with good housekeeping practices and ensure compliance with food safety, legality, and quality policies and procedures. A valid PA driver's license is required, and the individual must complete the physical required by law to operate trucks. The role also includes ensuring the safe operation of forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and all industrial man lifts, along with performing other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Completes all assignments as delegated under the direction of the Supervisor or Leadperson.
  • Instructs and trains employees in their work area.
  • Immediately informs the Department Supervisor of any problems that may arise.
  • Performs industrial painting.
  • Assists in controlling the quantity and timeliness of work performed by their group.
  • Completes all paperwork needed within their area of responsibility.
  • Reports any mechanical, electrical or safety problems to the Department Supervisor or Leadperson immediately.
  • Responsible for physically lifting up to 100 pounds as required.
  • Adheres to all common safety practices and procedures including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing as required.
  • Adheres to the Company's plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.
  • Ensures work area is clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
  • Responsible for execution of food safety, legality, quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities.
  • Maintains a valid PA driver's license and completes the physical required by law to operate trucks.
  • Ensures safe operation of forklifts, electric pallet jacks and all industrial man lifts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor.
