About The Position

The successful candidate will oversee the normal day-to-day activities in the department, allocating and applying manpower resources to adhere to the master schedule. This role involves directing a minimum of 3-4 other Test Engineers and Technicians in their daily activities, including job assignments and expectations for completion. The candidate will interface with customers during performance of witness tests, create Test Plans for customer equipment demonstrations, and review progress and evaluate results. Additionally, the role requires performing presentations utilizing automated test equipment for customer visits, assisting in troubleshooting software and hardware to solve problems in the automated test system, and performing test validation of the total automation system. The candidate will keep the Test Manager informed of progress and problems, recommend changes in procedures, perform functional testing of UPS and other Liebert Products, troubleshoot and/or repair faulty equipment, provide training to test associates, evaluate new products, and establish test methods. The candidate will also assist the Manager in planning and cultivating general safety practices in the department.

Requirements

  • BSEE/BSEET in electronics or equivalent degree and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in high power testing.
  • A minimum of 1 year customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of AC and Power Distribution products required.
  • Thorough knowledge of 3-Phase electrical circuits (high power).
  • Thorough knowledge of digital and electronic circuitry.
  • Ability to use standard electrical instruments.
  • Leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to give direction to other Test Engineers and Technicians & communicate personnel and test issues to all levels of management.
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional attitude towards customer relations.
  • Self-directed, good problem-solving skills.
