Description POSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for the day-to-day implementation of pre-operational procedures by establishing and maintaining sanitary conditions throughout all Truvant’s facilities. Leading the room of employees to ensure the sanitation procedures are completed accurately and in a timely manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Daily cleaning and sanitizing of production rooms, pack-off areas, and packaging equipment Cleaning and sanitizing of any other areas assigned by the sanitation Crew Leader Disassembling and assembling of equipment and production lines. Operate a floor buffer and scrubber. If any GMP violations have been observed, document and train the individual with input from your crew leader. Consult supervisor on disciplinary, if necessary. Must notify supervisor of any incident under this expectation. Fill out required sanitation pre-operational reports. Help train employees in areas they are unfamiliar with. Assist on production line as needed. Other duties as assigned Requirements EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: No previous experience required Knowledge of basic sanitation procedures and equipment a plus. Knowledge of basic chemical use and chemical safety measures a plus On the job training provided SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and procedures Ability to pay close attention to detail. Skill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the job. Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments. Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential. Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP’s, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense. PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication. Must be able to reach, touch, grasp. Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to Climb, Stoop/Kneel, Lift, Pull and Push. Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor. Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products. Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 40 pounds.
