Join us as a 3rd Shift Salvagnini Operator I N Your main responsibilities The position is 3rd Shift and will focus on learning the basic aspects of operating the Salvagnini system(s), with the emphasis on the shearing and punching operations. Programs, sets up, and operates multipurpose machines to perform any combination of operations such as automated punching and shearing to meet production schedules in accordance with predetermined standards.

Requirements

  • GED or high school diploma.
  • Use of shop mathematics together with complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and various types of precision measuring instrument.
  • Must be available to work 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

  • Generate and report OEE Weekly Results.
  • Inspect production for conformance to specifications (first piece inspection).
  • Operate DNC controlled shear, punch, forming machine, laser and automated warehouse.
  • Utilize punches, dies, measuring tape, hand tools, digital protractor, calipers and other equipment.
  • Select and load raw material required and initiate production.
  • Interfaces with computer system for production control, program editing, preventive maintenance, and SAP.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance such as but not limited to oil and lubrication, utilizing the F&L Process.
  • Assist in the determination of root cause of production errors and take corrective measures for prevention.
  • Maintain and rebuild tooling, monitor tooling inventory, coordinate ordering of new tooling, and maintains inventory of other spare parts and consumables.
  • Monitor steel inventory and load steel into machine.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure sufficient inventory to meet production requirements.
  • Responsible for input and output of raw material into automated warehouse, work in process with the automated warehouse, and scrap utilization and scrap hoppers.
  • Remove completed parts from end of line and place in carts or racks and deliver to next location.
  • Provide input to manufacturing personnel regarding production, system operation, maintenance, and system performance.
  • Use Total Preventive Maintenance system (TPM) and 5S training.
  • Audit / edit programs and nesting as needed.
