About The Position

The Dairy Operator position at Wawa involves setting up and operating various filling, bottle handling, and labeling equipment. The operator is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing machinery and support equipment as necessary, completing required documentation including production numbers, lot numbers, trailer numbers, weights, downtime, and chemical concentrations. Operators must work with various chlorinated alkali cleaners and acid sanitizers and follow USDA protocols regarding illness and food handling procedures. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts, holidays, and weekends based on business needs, and includes other duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of dairy GMPs.
• Prior machine experience with high-speed packaging and labeling equipment.
• Ability to average minimum outputs of various dairy products during shifts.
• Prior experience in a food-processing environment with a focus on quality.
• Certification in the operation of a riding pallet jack and a sit-down forklift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain supply of good bottles with correct printed code dates and labels.
• Adhere to Wawa safety and productivity standards.
