About The Position

The position involves supervising and leading 3rd shift production operations at MW Components - Greer: Springs. The role is exempt and requires full-time commitment, primarily during the night shift from 10:50 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday night through Thursday night, with some weekends as needed. The supervisor will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved while managing a team of 25-35 hourly production employees.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in production supervision within a manufacturing or military environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or TS16949 quality systems.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working for extended periods while walking or standing.
  • Willingness to work permanent 3rd shift and occasional Saturdays.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • High School Diploma required; additional technical or leadership training preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher in Management, Business, or a technical field.
  • Experience in metal forming, heat treating, or powder coating operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead 3rd shift production operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved.
  • Manage, train, and motivate a team of 25-35 hourly production employees, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee production schedules and resources to meet daily production targets and manage bottlenecks.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing coaching, feedback, and discipline as needed.
  • Drive process improvements focused on efficiency, throughput, and quality performance.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement (Lean/5S) and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering to resolve production issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and training matrices.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, ownership, and respect within the team.
