Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED with 3–5 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing, or a Bachelor’s Degree in lieu of experience.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities while fostering a culture of accountability and execution.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing best practices, safety, and quality control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee production output, ensuring efficiency and quality standards.
  • Supervise daily shift activities, enforcing safety and operating procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements with the Shift Superintendent.
  • Lead shift meetings to communicate goals, safety updates, and challenges.
  • Assist with equipment troubleshooting and maintenance coordination.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure continuous production flow.
  • Train, mentor, and cross-train employees for skill development.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve production issues.
  • Complete production reports and documentation accurately.
  • Collaborate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce waste.
