About The Position

Entegris is currently seeking a 3 rd Shift Operations Supervisor , Backend to join our C MP P ads Manufacturing team. This position will be based in our Aurora, Illinois facility. The Operations Supervisor position is responsible and accountable for achieving departmental production requirements by focusing on safety, quality, delivery , people, and cost, through supervision of the operations associates and through the coordination of scheduling and workflow. This position will provide training, guidance, and motivation, while ensuring that work instructions are maintained and followed . Your help in supporting a culture where teamwork, innovation, and accountability are of the highest importance. This position works closely with production engineering , planning, quality , and other supporting functions to ensure seamless communication across the production shifts.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment , with previous experience as a leader
  • Computer proficiency , including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adherence to and embodiment of our PACE Values
  • Proficient organization and communication skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Requires manual lifting of up to 40 lbs. when needed ; regularly to stand, kneel, or crouch, sit, walk and on occasion climb or balance

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field is preferred
  • Experience with ERP (preferably SAP) systems in an operations setting
  • Knowledge of 6 Sigma methodologies
  • A bility to formulate charts and graphs to understand and display data and metrics

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe work practices and procedures are followed at all times on the manufacturing floor
  • Work with EHS and site leadership to improve safety and 5S+S culture, training, and hazard recognition for operators
  • Be accountable for work area housekeeping, operator performance , and adherence to safety and operations procedures
  • Act as first point of contact regarding any issues that may arise (safety, quality, people, etc.) on the shift and maintain clear and consistent documentation and communication as needed
  • Closely manage team member area assignments to ensure daily work direction is clear and schedule attainment and on-time customer shipment is achieved in accordance with production planning needs
  • Proactively monitor daily output of the shift using Tiered Daily Management and Machine Efficiency tools, addressing gaps and escalating all issues in a timely manner
  • Assist with evaluating and investigating quality and process issues , including recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Provide training and certification for team members in compliance with requirements; identify and resolve skill gaps with supplemental training as needed
  • Communicate goals and expectations to team members and c onduct performance management process
  • Work together with key functional groups in the plant to resolve issues and ensure operational goals are met
  • Maintain ability to work during off-shift and provide on-site support of overtime on weekdays and/or weekends , according to business need

  • Annual compensation pay range is $74,000 -$88,000 depending on experience.
