About The Position

The schedule for this position is Sunday - Thursday 10:30pm - 7:00am. The role involves working closely with the production manager to understand production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for job assignments. Responsibilities include making machine adjustments for a wide range of plastic engineering materials, setting up and adjusting assembly equipment, troubleshooting molding problems, and conducting root cause analysis to improve product quality. The technician will also be responsible for the installation and removal of molds in the injection molding machine, ensuring part quality, and adhering to continuous improvement and 5S practices. The use of personal computers, calipers, gauges, hand tools, and overhead cranes is required, along with following safety rules and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of technical experience with plastic injection molding.
• Hands-on experience with raw materials, mold set-up, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (English).
• Good visual skills and reasoning ability.
• Team player who can relate to employees at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure part/material containment measures are implemented.
• Troubleshoot molding problems and solve process issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis of factors affecting product quality.
• Identify continuous improvement ideas.
• Install and remove molds in the injection molding machine.
• Ensure part quality associated with setup and processing parameters.
• Adhere to continuous improvement and 5S practices.
• Use personal computer, calipers, gauges, hand tools, and overhead cranes.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean work area.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
