About The Position

3rd Shift Position - 10pm - 6am. Responsible to the Mechanic with whom is assigned to carry out routine procedures and learn the skills of the maintenance craft. The qualified candidate will have the ability to attend work predictably and regularly and be punctual, have the ability to read and understand documents, drawings and instructions, work cooperatively with others, perform several tasks at once, ability to follow instruction etc.

• The ability to read and understand documents, drawings, and instructions (whether presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form).

• The ability to perform several tasks at once.
• The ability to follow direction or instruction.
• The ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information.

• The ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with the hands and arms.

Responsibilities

• Performs and/or assists on projects under close supervision.
• Performs minor repairs under close supervision.
• Responsible for following food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP's, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.
• Adheres to common safety practices and procedures, including the wearing of PPE's as required.
• Keeps work area neat and orderly according to good housekeeping practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
• Greases and oils plant equipment under close supervision.
