About The Position

The DC Housekeeper keeps our building in a clean and orderly condition. Performs
heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass,
sanitizing and removing rubbish. Duties also include notifying management of
need for cleaning, repairs and identifying potential hazards (example - slippery
floor or trash left on the DC floor).

Requirements

• Must be reliable and dependable.
• Must have experience working with cleaning chemicals.
• Must have excellent time management skills and work ethic to get daily job tasks done on time each day
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be on feet for extended periods of time
• Must have availability to work extended weekday hours, weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains entryways, restrooms, stairwells, breakrooms, offices, elevator, etc. including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, and sanitizing.
• Cleans operating floor to remove all stray objects (pieces of wood, nails, tape, boxes, etc.)
• Cleans windows, inside and outside of the building.
• Follows procedures for use of chemical cleaners and mixes water/detergents/sanitizers according to proper specifications.
• Responsible for cleaning bathrooms on a daily basis, and ensuring sufficient supplies are restocked.
• Empties all trash receptacles and transporting all trash to the proper disposal area.
• Responsible for active listening and giving full attention to points being made and asking appropriate questions.
• Performs other duties as assigned
