About The Position
As a 3rd Shift Cell Leader at Pratt & Whitney, you will play a pivotal role in leading and coaching a team within the CSMC Business Unit, specifically focusing on 360 Drum Rotors, Cases, and Special Processes. This position requires a highly motivated and technically skilled individual who is passionate about driving operational excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for providing direction to skilled bargaining unit employees, fostering employee engagement, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives aligned with our Roadmap and Control Tower objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in enhancing safety, quality, production efficiency, material procurement, and cost reduction across various operational elements. In your daily responsibilities, you will perform supervisory duties on the shop floor, including conducting toolbox talks, leading tiered meetings, and overseeing the progression of production hardware to meet delivery schedules. You will establish daily job assignments and work schedules while considering customer requirements and resource availability. Your role will also involve improving production throughput and job efficiency through the execution of the Standard Production System (SPS). Collaboration with support functions for real-time problem resolution will be essential, as will providing guidance to employees on issues related to manpower, machine, method, and material. You will lead efforts to engage employees and drive continuous improvement, ensuring that safety, quality, and production goals are met. Your leadership will emphasize team building through effective communication and daily meetings, fostering a responsive and efficient team that can adapt to production requirements and changes. A commitment to Quality, Environment Health and Safety (EHS), and the Standard Production System (SPS) will be paramount in your role as a Cell Leader.
