About The Position
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly motivated and technically talented individual to join our team as a 3rd Shift Cell Leader. This position is critical to our CSMC Business Unit, specifically focusing on 360 Drum Rotors, Cases, and Special Processes. As a Cell Leader, you will be responsible for providing direction to skilled bargaining unit employees and leading employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts. Your role will involve overseeing daily operations, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. In this dynamic operations environment, you will perform daily supervisory responsibilities, including conducting toolbox talks, tiered meetings, and pitch walks. You will be tasked with approving timesheets, tracking production hardware according to delivery schedules, and managing the movement of aged accruals to meet financial goals. Establishing daily job assignments and work schedules will be essential, as will improving production throughput and employee productivity through the execution of the Standard Production System (SPS). Your leadership will be vital in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, where you will lead efforts to enhance safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction. You will work closely with support functions to resolve real-time issues on the manufacturing floor and provide direction to employees regarding manpower, machine, method, and material challenges. Building an efficient and responsive team through effective communication and daily engagement will be a key focus of your role. You will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to Quality, Environment Health and Safety (EHS), and the Standard Production System (SPS).
