We are currently looking for a 3rd Shift CAM Operator to be based out of New Bedford, MA. Reporting to the Supervisor, the CAM Operator will be responsible for operating machine/set of machines, which includes set up, operation, inspection and adjustment of large machinery. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing simple or routine set-ups, operating computer console as needed, using simple measurement instruments to check work, completion of necessary paperwork, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Must have the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including: a variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day.
  • Must be capable of lifting, pulling or pushing at least 50 lbs.
  • Must possess basic skills in order to maintain safe operation as required by job task.
  • Must keep working area neat and orderly.
  • Must be willing to work overtime.
  • Must have dependability, good attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to align with core values - Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, Excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Read and comprehend production Standard Work, all safety procedures, and Maintenance instructions.
  • Operate and observe machinery during production.
  • Identify acceptable or unacceptable product quality to customer requirements and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals.
