About the position
The 3rd Shift Auto Part Assembler is responsible for operating machines and performing assembly tasks on the production line. This role requires working at various stations as needed, ensuring quality control, and meeting production requirements. The position offers a right-to-hire opportunity with a pay increase after 90 days, and it is essential for candidates to have a willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks.
Responsibilities
- Reads job specifications and work instructions to determine work needed and material requirements.
- Positions work piece against stops or aligns layout marks with fixture.
- Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
- Checks parts to determine accuracy.
- Performs jobs in a safe and efficient manner.
- Meets production requirements including cycle time on a daily basis.
- Can operate all work stations within the department.
- Verifies quality issues shown on defective code list.
Requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of how to read a diagram and bring it to reality.
- Ability to read blueprints is preferred.
