About The Position

The position is responsible for performing Inherent Risk and Privacy Impact Assessments to ensure that third party vendors have adequate controls in place to protect Truist consumer's personal data or mitigate risk as required. The role is required to meet Third Party Risk's service level agreements, which helps avoid delays and risks associated with onboarding new vendors. The essential duties include serving as a key liaison between the Technology Delivery team and Lines of Business (LOBs), collaborating with peer groups to identify and document business needs, and facilitating requirements elicitation sessions. The position also involves preparing user interface diagrams, conducting current state analysis, and ensuring adherence to all Technology and Truist policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience with six years of information technology experience.
  • Four years of experience as a business analyst or related role.
  • Management experience in planning, facilitating, eliciting, documenting and managing requirements.
  • Experience with traditional Waterfall SDLC and/or Agile/Lean methodologies.
  • Ability to interact with management and business staff effectively.
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under time constraints.
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork and influencing skills.
  • Excellent facilitation and organizational skills.
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of core systems, applications and technical platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key liaison between the Technology Delivery team and LOBs.
  • Collaborate with peer groups in Technology and LOBs to identify, document and communicate business needs and provide technology solutions.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business processes and strategies.
  • Establish project and work requests requirements using document, business process and workflow analysis.
  • Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions and walkthroughs with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Perform current state analysis of existing business systems, applications and functions.
  • Prepare user interface diagrams, business process and workflow diagrams.
  • Understand long-term business objectives and suggest strategies to meet those objectives.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with business process owners and other stakeholders.
  • Assist/coordinate pre-planning activities.
  • Facilitate routine meetings with business stakeholders to provide updates on in-flight initiatives.
  • Attend business unit management meetings as needed.
  • Become deeply immersed and knowledgeable about core business functions, processes and workflows.
  • Observe and ensure strict adherence to all Technology and Truist policies and standards.
  • Coach and mentor junior level Business Analysts.
