Job SummaryThe Third Grade Teacher at St. Ann Catholic School, Normandy is responsible for providing a faith-centered, academically rigorous learning environment that supports the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional development of students. This position delivers instruction aligned with diocesan curriculum standards and promotes Catholic values within the classroom and school community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required).
  • Valid teaching certification or eligibility (preferred).
  • Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the mission of the school.
  • Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in Reading/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Religion.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and traditions into daily instruction and classroom culture.
  • Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and respectful classroom environment that promotes student responsibility and success.
  • Utilize differentiated instructional strategies to support diverse learning styles and academic needs.
  • Implement formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instructional decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with parents/guardians regarding academic progress and student needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to support school initiatives and student success.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, liturgical celebrations, and school events.
  • Adhere to all school policies, diocesan guidelines, and professional standards.
