About The Position

AMS is seeking a dedicated 3rd Grade Teacher to join the AMS Power Campus and help prepare scholars for key academic milestones in upper elementary school. The 3rd Grade Teacher will focus on strengthening reading comprehension, writing proficiency, and multi-step mathematical reasoning, while preparing students for increased academic rigor and state assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Elementary Education OR Valid Arizona teaching certification OR Minimum of three (3) years of K–12 teaching experience
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Commitment to serving diverse communities

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous instruction aligned with Arizona academic standards and AMS curriculum.
• Support students in developing reading comprehension, writing skills, and mathematical problem-solving abilities.
• Use assessment data to monitor student growth and provide targeted support.
• Create a structured and engaging learning environment.
• Implement PBIS strategies to support student behavior and accountability.
• Participate in professional learning communities and staff development opportunities.
• Maintain open communication with families and support strong home-school partnerships.
