About The Position

Christ Community Lutheran School (CCLS) Position Overview Christ Community Lutheran School is seeking a full-time Support Teacher for 3rd Grade to join our dedicated faculty and advance our mission of excellence in Christ-centered education. This faculty-level position partners closely with two lead 3rd Grade Teachers to strengthen student learning through targeted support, classroom collaboration, and practical instructional assistance. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who enjoys team-based teaching without the full scope of homeroom teacher responsibilities.

Requirements

• Valid teaching certification required
• Demonstrated classroom management experience
• Clear alignment with the CCLS mission, code of conduct, and statement of faith

Nice To Haves

• Membership in a Lutheran church congregation preferred
• Lutheran teacher diploma ideal, but not required
• Rostered candidates will be issued a divine Call

Responsibilities

• Providing additional academic support and interventions for students in small groups, in coordination with lead teachers
• Supervising students during lunch and recess
• Assisting with simple grading and other instructional tasks as assigned
• Supporting a positive, structured, and mission-aligned classroom environment
• Collaborating regularly with lead teachers to ensure consistent instructional support
• Participate in staff meetings and professional learning
• Potentially lead the teaching of a designated subject
• Participate in an extracurricular activity annually
