About The Position

St. Rita Catholic School has an opening for a Long-Term Substitute Third-Grade Teacher to fill in due to maternity leave from February to May 2026. First Through Fourth Grade Program Philosophy: St. Rita Catholic School’s Elementary Program builds foundational academic competence through a variety of elementary curricula designed to differentiate students’ learning styles and knowledge and taught in a student-centered classroom. Elementary teachers strive to tap into their students’ natural curiosity through authentic, real-life experiences in an environment that encourages students to take risks and develop their voices. From the First through the Fourth grade, the school’s progressive pedagogy builds a literacy framework – language competency – that is a gateway to all forms of learning and understanding. Classroom teachers also intentionally work to develop fluency in elementary mathematics, religion, and literature. Developing elementary knowledge, skills, and experiences serves our belief that the framework for understanding begins with a firm foundation.
