About The Position

The Academy is seeking a full-time, highly qualified 3rd Grade English Language Arts/Equity Studies Teacher committed to serving a diverse student body and delivering high-quality, inclusive instruction. Our classroom teachers work as part of a dynamic team in close collaboration with other teachers, deans and school support staff to deliver strong academic instruction and support to students. Requirements

Valid Multi Subject California Teaching credential
Must pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others, receive and implement feedback.
Strong attendance and punctuality
Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total school program.
Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology.
Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, district, and state.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic, and ability backgrounds.
Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans using provided curriculum and instructional materials
Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities and communicate a growth mindset to students.
Observe and evaluate students' performance and development
Use student data to inform and adjust teaching strategies for whole group, small groups and individual students.
Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
Participate in department/grade-level, school, and parent meetings.
Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
Other duties as assigned.
