The 3rd Grade Teacher plays a vital role in cultivating a joyful, engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration, critical thinking, and artistic expression. The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging instruction aligned with Colorado Academic Standards and Waldorf-inspired curriculum. Teaching includes core subjects such as language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies through hands-on, project-based, and developmentally appropriate approaches. Instruction is enriched through storytelling, movement, artistic activities, and experiential learning that bring academic content to life. Teachers at Mountain Sage differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of students. This includes providing targeted support and enrichment, using a variety of instructional strategies such as group work, visual aids, manipulatives, and sensory-based learning to ensure all students are appropriately challenged and supported. Assessment is grounded in careful observation, informal assessment, and authentic performance-based activities. The 3rd Grade Teacher maintains clear documentation of student progress and communicates regularly with families about academic growth and developmental milestones. Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in childhood development, education, or a related field.
  • Effective classroom management and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of early childhood education concepts and differentiation strategies.
  • 2+ years of teaching experience in early childhood or elementary education, preferably in a Waldorf setting.
  • Technology proficiency and knowledge of curriculum standards

Nice To Haves

  • A master's degree in early childhood, education, or a related field.
  • A valid Colorado teaching license with a elementary school endorsement (or appropriate subject area certification)
  • Experience or certification in Waldorf education.
  • Waldorf training or a strong understanding of arts-integrated education.
