Join us and be a part of a team that puts people first! My Auto Store is looking for a dedicated and skilled 3rd Class Dismantler, preferably with a background in auto mechanics to join our team. In this role, you will support the dismantling of vehicles by performing essential hands-on tasks, under the supervision of senior technicians. This position is ideal for individuals with automotive experience who are looking to apply their expertise in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Solid background in automotive mechanics, repair, or salvage operations.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cutting equipment.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in automotive dismantling or related work is necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification or training in automotive mechanics, auto body repair, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in basic dismantling tasks, including the removal of non-essential components and prepping vehicles for further disassembly.
  • Safely remove tires and batteries, ensuring proper handling and disposal.
  • Perform vehicle greening procedures, including extracting motor oil, transmission fluid, and antifreeze, and disposing of all fluids responsibly.
  • Utilize dry ice blasting techniques to clean vehicles and remove dirt, grime, and surface coatings.
  • Maintain and clean tools and equipment used during dismantling operations.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines, wearing the appropriate PPE to minimize risk of accidents.
  • Work closely with team members to optimize dismantling efficiency and productivity, offering support when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
