Key Responsibilities: Elementary Math/Science Teacher Instructional Planning and Delivery Develop and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Math and Science. Use a variety of instructional strategies to promote inquiry, problem-solving, and hands-on learning experiences. Integrate technology, real-world applications, and cross-curricular connections to deepen student understanding. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of all learners, including those receiving special education and ESL services. Assessment and Data-Driven Instruction Administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and mastery of learning objectives. Analyze student performance data to adjust instruction and provide targeted interventions or enrichment. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and academic growth. Classroom Management and Culture Establish a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect, responsibility, and a love for learning. Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. Model and reinforce the school's core values and behavioral expectations. Collaboration and Professionalism Collaborate with grade-level teams, support staff, and administration to plan lessons and interventions that align with campus goals. Participate in professional development and ongoing training to enhance instructional practices. Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom updates. Contribute to school-wide initiatives, events, and a culture of excellence. STEM and Inquiry-Based Learning Incorporate STEM-based activities, scientific investigations, and project-based learning to develop critical thinking and curiosity.
