KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE: Supervise inbound and outbound activities to include receiving, put away, storage, picking, packaging, value added services, dispatching and shipping of goods Manage revenue and expenses compared to budget; manage, track, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs); management and utilization warehouse space Train, coach, mentor, and develop staff to achieve business objectives Communicate to operations’ staff in areas such as: objectives, policies, procedures, safety methods, practices, programs, etc. Participate in/and drive various continuous improvement opportunities through the application of Lean/Six Sigma or related methodology Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace. Comply with instructions given for their own safety and health and that of others, in adhering to safe work procedures. Co-operate with management in its fulfilment of its legislative obligations Ensure that the work schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly Maintain product locator WMS. Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace. Comply with instructions given for their own safety and health and that of others, in adhering to safe work procedures. Co-operate with management in its fulfilment of its legislative obligations. Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of inventory control and methodology
  • Proficient desk top computing skills including strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • §Daily interactions and communications with all customers pertaining to order status, inventory levels, and overall operations of the related accounts
  • Daily communications around outbound volumes, file creations, PODs, and expected outbound volumes
  • Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies
  • Experience with freight forwarding, routing, and scheduling of trucks
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
  • Responds promptly and professionally to internal and external customer needs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
  • Consistent punctual attendance
  • Possess professional business demeanor
  • Experience with material handling equipment and storage media
  • Self-starter with an ability to work in an ambiguous environment
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5-7 years’ logistics industry experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supervisor/management role; must have demonstrated experience
  • Must have experience with freight forwarding, routing, and scheduling of trucks
  • Experience with shipping, receiving and inventory control
  • 2-3 years of Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • WMS experience is preferred
