About The Position

As a 3D Designer for global footwear, you will design by driving digital creation from ideation to manufacturing through all design phases. You will use digital tools to enable the creation of innovative concepts and designs that appropriately reflect Altra's design philosophy. Additionally, you will build and present assets that effectively communicate design intent to a variety of audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in industrial, transportation design, animation, architecture, a related field or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Unique design philosophy and strong creative drive
• Strong work ethic, communication skills and team spirit
• Proficiency in 3D Design, polygonal and surface modeling
• Demonstrated proficiency using digital design applications (i.e. Maya, Modo, Rhino, ZBrush, Blender, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Demonstrates ability to use AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools in their design process (i.e. Vizcom, NewArc, etc.)
• Experience in crafting conceptual prototypes and proficiency in preparing 3D assets for rapid prototyping (RP)
• Possess an in depth understanding of digital creation market trends and new technologies
• Ability to continually expand knowledge of digital creation tools and processes and stay current with industry digital creation innovations
• Footwear product experience is a must
• Experience working in a highly multidimensional design environment
• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
