About The Position

Create and modify documents and drawings using Autodesk applications and Microsoft Office to assemble submittal packages for customer approval and shop drawings for fabrication. Create 3D models using Autodesk Inventor to aid in the creation of submittal and shop drawings. Create new parts within Oracle along with associated drawings and documentation. Assess if customer requests are within company manufacturing capabilities. Review purchase orders, design layouts and material lists to identify and resolve any issues with fit up, accuracy, or ambiguity. Coordinate with Engineers, Sales, Customer Service, and shop personnel to ensure accuracy of information. Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (or Certificate) in Engineering Technology or 3+ years of AutoCAD experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Autodesk Inventor or other 3D Modeling Software.
  • Competent in mathematics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to work independently to accomplish tasks on time.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience related to steel or metal manufacturing and fabrication is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO, ASCE, AWS, and ASTM is a plus.
