About The Position

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a skilled and creative 3D Animator to develop high quality, photorealistic animations that support product communication, marketing initiatives, and technical storytelling. This role is responsible for transforming concepts, storyboards, and technical information into accurate and engaging visual content that highlights SEL devices, systems, and mechanics. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in 3D animation workflows along with a solid understanding of motion, timing, and realistic representation. This position works collaboratively with designers, videographers, and stakeholders across teams to ensure animations align with creative direction, brand standards, and platform specific requirements. The animator will manage multiple deadlines, iterate based on feedback, and contribute to consistently high visual quality across all deliverables. As a 3D Animator a typical day might include the following: Create high-quality 3D animations for products, systems, objects, and visual effects. Collaborate with designers and videographers to ensure animation aligns with creative vision and technical requirements Interpret storyboards, and creative briefs to produce compelling animations Apply animation principles such as timing, weight, spacing, and movement within a photo-realistic style that accurately represents SEL devices and device mechanics. Refine and iterate animations based on feedback from internal teams and stakeholders. Optimize animations for use across marketing platforms and promotional materials, ensuring they meet channel specific requirements. Maintain consistency in animation style, quality, and brand guidelines Manage multiple tasks and deadlines This job might be for you if have the following: Proven experience as a 3D Animator or in a similar role Proficiency with industry standard 3D animation software (e.g., Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D, or equivalent). Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to accept and apply constructive feedback. Pay Range Data We anticipate filling this position as a Marketing Designer (3D animator) $32.00 - $47.00 an hour. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
