About The Position

We have TWO openings for a Night Shift Finished Goods Machine Operator. The role involves setting up and operating one piece of equipment and is eligible for training towards Machine Operator/Mechanic status.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency needed; additional trades training is a strong plus.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English strongly preferred.
• Required math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Basic computer skills needed.
• CRC (Bronze level or higher) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates equipment, checking for the latest revision of the packing schedule before setting up the line.
• Monitors to ensure that all products adhere to food safety and quality critical limits.
• Visually and physically performs quality checks of labels and coding on the assigned line.
• Keeps records of downtime and product checks.
• Adjusts line speeds as needed.
• Performs daily and weekly operational and pre-operational checks on assigned equipment.
• Cleans and maintains assigned work area.
• Works on various lines as needed.
• Follows safety rules and company policies.
• Assists in training seasonal Machine Laborers.
• Occasionally responsible for more than one machine.
• Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
• Receives verbal and written instructions from supervisor and performs other work as directed.
