About The Position

The Driver - CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous waste removal services for customers. This role involves ensuring vehicle compliance with safety standards, adhering to regulations, and completing daily vehicle condition reports. The driver must maintain high customer service standards while efficiently managing waste collection routes.

Requirements

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and to the disposal site.
• Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of collected material.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service.
• Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to departmental procedures.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste.
• Clean areas around accidental waste spills, adhering to safety standards.
• Continuously monitor the vehicle's condition to ensure operational readiness.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports.
• Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for timely customer service.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in the Company's ReSOP program.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
