The 2025 Post Bar Fellowship offers recent law school graduates an opportunity to join the Harris County District Attorney's Office (HCDAO) while awaiting their Texas Bar results. The fellowship lasts approximately 3-6 months and can lead to employment as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) if the fellow performs well and passes the Texas State Bar exam. Post Bar Fellows will be compensated at a rate of $28.00 per hour, with benefits commencing after 45 days. Upon passing the Texas State Bar, fellows will be sworn in as ADAs and will receive the starting salary for Misdemeanor 3 ADAs, which is $93,100.80 annually. The fellowship provides a chance to gain hands-on experience in the Misdemeanor Trial Bureau, conducting various legal tasks and gaining familiarity with the day-to-day operations of the office.
