The Licensed Optician is responsible for creating exceptional value in the lives of customers by delivering legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high-quality eyewear that exceeds our customers' expectations. This position involves welcoming all customers, setting expectations, custom fitting glasses, and precisely placing prescriptions in lenses. The optician acts as a leader in optical acumen, taking and recording measurements, accurately adjusting and fitting eyewear with attention to detail, and ensuring that finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs. Additionally, the optician assists the team with complex product needs and prescriptions, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and the ability to use appropriate tools under time pressure and high customer volume. The role requires a proactive approach, exploring the root cause of issues, ensuring customer satisfaction, and exceeding expectations. The optician must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with competing priorities while striving to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies. Maintaining a clean, attractive, and organized store appearance is also essential, along with informing management of safety opportunities and demonstrating safe work practices. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, self-motivated, and possess a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results, while adhering to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.
