About The Position

As a 3D Imaging Specialist at Deaconess Hospital, you will be responsible for operating computer software to produce 3D images and multiplanar reconstructions from CT and MRI datasets. This role is critical in ensuring optimal visualization of patients' anatomical structures and pathologies, contributing to the hospital's healing mission. You will also develop and manage new post-processing protocols, collaborate with radiologists and clinicians, and assist in training others in image post-processing applications.

Requirements

• Graduate of a recognized ARRT Radiologic Technologist program.
• Must be licensed in Indiana as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Certified by ARRT.
• Registry of CT is required within 18 months of hire.
• CPR/BLS certification with CE credits as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate computer software for the production of 3D images and multiplanar reconstructions from CT and MRI datasets.
• Develop and manage new post-processing protocols as needed.
• Produce quantitative measurements when indicated.
• Ensure images requiring post-processing are networked to appropriate workstations and processed images are networked to PACS and other systems in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other clinicians to ensure post-processed images are of maximal clinical value.
• Use radiology information systems to check patient medical history and update exam status for tracking and billing purposes.
• Assist in the instruction of physicians and technologists in image post-processing applications.
