About The Position

As a 3D Artist at Red 6, you will play a vital role in the development of 3D assets for cutting-edge Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) systems. Your primary responsibilities will include creating realistic 3D models and environments tailored to military themes, rigging and animating vehicles, and producing stylized visual effects. This position requires collaboration with team members to ensure high-quality asset creation and adherence to project specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in 3D game design or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of professional experience in high-performance video games or AR/VR applications.
• Proficiency in Autodesk 3DS Max, Maya, Blender, or similar 3D software.
• Experience with PBR texturing and rendering, preferably in Unreal Engine.
• Strong skills in hard-surface 3D modeling, UVW unwrapping, and texturing.
• Ability to rig and animate 3D models effectively.
• Experience with virtual reality hardware (Rift, VIVE, Gear VR, etc.).
• Familiarity with Jira, Perforce, and Confluence for project management.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with debugging and fixing issues in asset creation pipelines.
• Strong portfolio showcasing commercial work and skills in 3D artistry.
• Good written and communication skills for effective collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop realistic 3D models and environments for AR/VR applications.
• Create skeletal rigging and animations for aircraft and land-based vehicles.
• Produce stylized visual effects using particles, animation, and shaders in Unreal Engine.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project specifications are met.
• Document and create asset pipeline guides for team reference.
• Optimize geometry for low-end target platforms while maintaining visual quality.
