Holman has an outstanding opportunity for a Second Shift Welder to join our team in Huntington . Pay: $22 - $25 (depending on experience) + 10% shift premium Shift: 2:00 PM to 12:30am Monday- Thursday Benefits start within 30 days of employment 15 days of personal time in your first year 10 paid holidays per year We provide training for approximately the first 6 weeks on the job. Training shift is Monday – Friday from 5:30am to 2:00pm. Upon successful completion of training, you will be assigned to our 2nd shift.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in welding, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • competency in Steel/Galvanneal and Alum MIG processes, TIG welding is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with cutting, drilling, and other fabrication techniques
  • Ability to work from blueprints and written specifications to fabricate components
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and practices in welding and fabrication environments
  • Must be competent producing good welds while welding in flat and horizontal positions, uphill, downhill, and overhead welds
  • Experience using cutting torch and plasma cutter preferred.
  • Ability to wear a respirator
  • Required to pass a G1 weld test
  • Must be able to perform within the established company standards, which include but are not limited to standard operating procedures, attendance, quality and performance.
  • Must pass a physical, drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate components to complete a project, will include cutting, welding, drilling and other techniques
  • Ability to work from blueprints and written specifications to meet customer requirements via MIG and TIG welding.
  • Use various processes including cutting, welding (MIG), drilling, and possibly others to fabricate components as required to complete projects
  • Conduct quality control checks on own work to ensure components meet required specifications and standards; perform inspections of welded joints and fabricated components to identify and rectify any defects.
