About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the operations of the warehouse and has direct supervision over all employees associated with the processes of product shipping and receiving. This role involves ensuring product integrity and order filling accuracy to achieve KPIs and budget throughput. The supervisor is responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing the workforce to meet daily operational demands, including training and monitoring employee productivity levels. The position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to motivate the workforce and implement corrective measures as necessary.

Requirements

• Proficient knowledge of English and basic math skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in food distribution or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• WMS experience preferred; must be proficient in WMS within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and be certified by Agile.
• Must meet requirements to be a powered industrial truck (PIT) trainer.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the processes associated with the shipping and receiving of product to ensure product integrity and order filling accuracy.
• Plan, schedule, and manage workforce to meet daily operational demands, including training and verifying certifications.
• Apply interpersonal and communication skills to motivate the workforce and convey professional growth opportunities.
• Generate, use, and document standard or ad hoc reports to monitor operations and report on objectives, throughputs, and KPIs.
• Protect customers' physical assets by monitoring and verifying operation of various systems, including facility security.
• Monitor product integrity by verifying product temperatures and refrigeration operations.
• Enforce proper personal protective equipment (PPE) use and ensure compliance with OSHA and food handling regulations.
• Maintain a clean work environment and perform other duties as assigned.
