About The Position

About Us: CHAMPRO is a growing branded manufacturer & distributor of team sports equipment and apparel. We are privately owned and have been delivering high-value, traditional & innovative athletic equipment and apparel via outstanding, integrity-driven customer service for thirty-five years. We currently have an immediate opening for a 2nd Shift Operations Supervisor in our 200,000 square foot distribution center, located in Bannockburn, Illinois, working M-F from 10:30 AM - closing with a flex schedule to accommodate seasonal demand. Position: The position supervises the daily activities of the warehouse team during a given shift. Must be able to influence the team to provide world class customer service in a fast-paced environment while not compromising safety. The supervisor provides leadership, motivation, training, and development to the team while driving continuous improvement, safety adherence and optimization of operations efficiently through data.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Understanding of shipping logistics preferred
• Previous experience in a distribution facility preferred
• Prioritization and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills
• Must be able to interact with Champro customers and teammates
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and data entry software
• Previous SAP/ WMS/ RF or related experience is preferred
• Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment
• Previous experience in performance management
• Flexibility to cover any shifts as needed
• LEAN Warehousing experienced a plus
• Power Equipment experience preferred
• Bi-lingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Supervises warehouse team members and daily activities
• Fosters a best place to work culture through employment engagement
• Manages, evaluates and reports on warehouse productivity
• Tracks and coordinates the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
• Drives Safety culture through facilitating safety meetings and assuring the maintenance of a safe work environment
• Orders supplies and maintains suitable inventory levels
• Communicates and coordinates with both internal and external customers
• Hires, trains and monitors employee performance against company KPI’s
• Prepares and reconciles required production and inventory reports
• Cross-trains employees in all warehouse operations
• Provides project assistance to Operations Manager or Director as required
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws, as well as occupational health and safety regulation.
• Undertake other duties as assigned
